
The Rare are a self-proclaimed “sexy” sounding trio hailing from Apple Valley, California that are sure be raising eyebrows and kickin’ in doors with their energy packed hard rock for a long time to come. Nicho (vocals/guitar), Thomas (vocals/bass) and Steven (drums) have been lighting up their local scene for over a year and a half and have tightened their sound to express their powerful and raw talent. They have a busy year ahead of them and are soon to be setting the wheels in motion for an eventful summer. You won’t want to be the only one who doesn’t know this band when they come to town!
Skratch: What spurs your songwriting?
The Rare: Personal experiences that makes you feel stimulated and intrigued with a familiar sound. Ultimately it's our love of music that drives us.
Skratch: Many artists get emotional or passionate about certain topics. What gets you guys going?
The Rare : The way we communicate with our audience by our sound and musical drive through our concrete passion of music.
Skratch: What, in your music, differentiates yourselves from other bands?
The Rare: A disciplined sound with a great attitude. We consider ourselves mature because of the time we devote to the sound and image of our band as well.
Skratch: What genre do you describe your band as? What is the funniest description you've heard to date?
The Rare: Mainstream Hard Rock. We've heard us being labeled as a Christian band before, and while we have sincere respect for all religions (including our own), that's new to us.
Skratch: What ice cream flavor represents the band's overall personality and why?:
The Rare: Neapolitan. 3 flavors representing 3 of a kind; each with our own unique traits.
Skratch: Does anyone in the band have kids? Who is the Mom or Dad in the band and why?:
The Rare: Our mom is Rock and our dad is Roll. If they had kids then we would be the outcome.
Skratch: Lyrically, what are your goals and where is your mind currently?:
The Rare: Crafting our lyrics is always important: we want to bring a change to the generic lyrics of other bands by challenging the band's mindset to that of the incendiary artist and band of the present and future.

The Rare: Of course we desire; a label would help us achieve the goals of the band.

The Rare: Nothing beats our hometown of Apple Valley, CA.

The Rare: A powerful, raw experience equipped with a small portion of comedic relief.

The Rare: We pound each other... with our fists.

The Rare: That's situational. For the time being, we are not interested in high level marketing, such as that.
